Right after discussing getting a cat, the sweetest big-pawed black kitten finds her way into their lives, instantly making them feel like it was meant to be: 'Just a perpetual shot of serotonin'

Every once in a while, if you are lucky enough, the CDS will hear your call. 

Some of us - cough we're talking about ourselves here - have spent their entire childhood calling out to the CDS. For the first 17 years of our lives, we called and called, begging for a cat to adopt us. Any cat would have made us happy. A kitten, a senior cat, a stray cat, a cat from a litter, but no. Parents said no for the first 17 years, and then, finally, it happened. A kitten walked into our lives, and just like magic, our parents were completely okay with us keeping it. Except it wasn't magic. It was meowgic. It was the CDS. 

Usually, of course, the CDS doesn't listen to anyone. Cats appear in our lives out of nowhere - if we are lucky - and we just stand aside, let them take over our homes and say thank you. But every once in a while… it works. Once in a blue moon, you call out to the CDS and not only does it hear you, it has a tiny agent of chaos and darkness waiting right around the corner for you to find it. 

That is the story that was told on r/CatDistributionSystem. A story of meowgic. One random morning, a couple started talking about adopting a cat, and later that day, they ended up with a teeny weeny black kitten who needed a home right in their hands. They hesitated for only a moment. It was too good to be true. Too purrfect. How could it be that their call would be heard and replied to so quickly? But that's the point of the CDS. The unexpectedness. The fact that it can find you anywhere and at any time. It's why the CDS is so pawsome.

  • We would not have even needed to see the kitten in person to know that it was meant to come home with us. We would have felt it through the screen. We're feeling it now! If we knew this little one needed a home, and we were just talking about getting a cat, yeah- sign from the universe.

    I held her, she meowed at me, I cried, boyfriend asked "do you want her?" and we took her home. I was hesitant because of my elderly soul cat; I didn't want to feel like I was replacing her, but it's just another baby to love on

    Vet said she's a healthy little peppercorn and is about 6 weeks old! She was a little skittish at first but has really opened up since Sunday. We got her all these toys and her favorite playthings are still her tail and her back paws. We've also discovered she's an iPad kid-we started watching something on the TV and baby was SAT.

  • Oh, we're obsessed with her. Look at those eyes. She has no idea what is going on around her. She's purrfect. You can just tell that life with her will be full of shenanigans. And we're are waiting for updates because we need to hear all about them.
